Girl's day out

Several weeks ago we were lucky enough to get to go out for a 'girl's day out' with Gi Gi and Grammy. We went to a place called 'The Secret Kingdom' in Magnolia which was just lovely!

Gi Gi got a manicure for K and M - they LOVED getting pampered. K got hot pink with silver sparkles and M got purple with purple sparkles! Their fingers looked like they had little disco balls on the tips by the time they were done!

Our manicurist, Miss Amanda, was very nice and answered all 82billion questions from M.

Here is Gi Gi with little miss C. She loved watching the big girls get their nails done - she wants it to be her turn next!

K waiting her turn so politely

After the nails had dried we went shopping in the boutique (where each girl got a new little purse). Then we played dress up in the corner of the cafe.

After that we went to a jewelry store - everyone loved it but little C - she was much more interested in sucking her thumb.

M found sock monkey ear muffs! If we lived anywhere but TX I might have let her take them home.. but seeing as we never need them, we left them for someone else to find.

And that was our lovely girl's day out! We had so much fun, I hope we do it again soon!

Pink Doughnut!

I don't know why I love taking pictures of M eating - but she is just so darn cute. Or it could be that is the only time she actually SITS STILL during the day long enough for me to have a real conversation with her. I enjoy her little stories and it melts my heart when she says, 'so how was your day?' just like I ask her.

This was sometime last month when Big C and I took the girls out for a pink doughnut (just like Grandpa gets her, she informed the woman behind the counter) before I went to work.

On a side note - notice the chocolate milk. I think she could qualify as having an official addiction to the stuff. :)

Have a great day! Much love to all - KR

She says 'that's enough with the pictures ma!' :)

Texas Renaissance Festival

Hello all! Here are a few pictures from when our friends Alex and Janaki took us to the Texas Renaissance Festival! Here are Big C and B outside the pirate ship where they sell all sorts of knifes and swords.
Here is M telling Miss Janaki and K all about something... Who knows what!
Here is K and M - Smile for the camera! :)

And here is little C. She was far more interested in her toes than anything else. :)

It was so nice to get the opportunity to get out and play in the beautiful weather we were having. Hopefully we can make it back next year!

Halloween party :)

Hello! I just got some pictures back from our friend Angela (seen with baby C) and just had to share all of the Halloween costumes! They are all on candid camera, so there aren't many smiles... but they are still so cute!

Here is K - she is a dark witch!

Here is B looking fierce!

M, the 'Princes Witch'

And Miss Angela with baby C! You can't see very well here, but little C has a ballerina tutu on :)

Halloween parties are so fun! :)

'Tuna Goup'

The dinner table is one of my favorite places to catch up with M about her day. She will tell you all about what she has done and seen... It is also where a lot of theatrics happen.

So please allow me to introduce our star of the evening, M, in a production entitled 'Tuna Goop' originally performed sometime last week.

Mom has placed on the table a bowl of noodles, sauce, and tuna... also known as Tuna Helper.

She carefully observes the contents of the bowl.... wary for anything that might taste 'disgusting' (the new favorite word)

She takes the first bite...

Muddles over the flavors and textures (as seen in the forehead wrinkle)

Her skills of deliberation deepen and... drum roll please...

Verdict is in!!!!!

It is YUMMY!

Now, of course, it is time to shovel fork fulls of it into our face!

Yum yum yum...

Which is the idea in the first place because CUPCAKES are for desert!

Life doesn't get much better.
This has been another episode of dinning with the Anderkeys - the 'Tuna Goop' addition... tune in next time when we discover
MYSTERY MEAT!

Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!

As seen here, M is a lovely little witch! What you don't see in the daylight is that her skirt has lots of little lights that glow through - making her a 'princess witch' according to her. :)

And here is Little Miss C - in pumpkin garb and sporting a lovely hair bow her Daddy got her!
She has just discovered her feet - so there is no time to be looking at anything else! (geez, mom!)

Here is one of the houses we went!
We were lucky enough to go with our friends Cady (the cutest Raggedy Anne EVER) and Makenna (who makes a lovely Cinderella)!

This nice lady let them have TWO hand fulls! How generous!

The night ended with lots of candy being lugged home by tired kids - and I think that equates to success! :)

And to all a good night!

Can't wait...

So excited for tonight it is distracting.... can you tell?!

It has been quite a week at Gradndma's house - here are a few highlights!

Monday - noodles for lunch! Yum!

Wednesday- Pizza for lunch! With a bunch of flowers picked with the next door neighbor Mrs. Pickens.

Baby C sleeping at nap time

Thursday - On rainy days, we get the rainy day bucket out!
It is full of all the Mc Donald's toys you could ever dream of!

Friday! And look! Little C can play too!

Thanks, Grandma, for another great week! We love you!

Dinner with my loves :)

I love nights where big C cooks :) He is wonderful in the kitchen and likes to surprise me with tasty meals after work - which is great, because I like to eat! This night M picked flowers and they graced the table where we all ate chili with a little cheese. YUM!
