Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!

As seen here, M is a lovely little witch! What you don't see in the daylight is that her skirt has lots of little lights that glow through - making her a 'princess witch' according to her. :)

And here is Little Miss C - in pumpkin garb and sporting a lovely hair bow her Daddy got her!
She has just discovered her feet - so there is no time to be looking at anything else! (geez, mom!)

Here is one of the houses we went!
We were lucky enough to go with our friends Cady (the cutest Raggedy Anne EVER) and Makenna (who makes a lovely Cinderella)!

This nice lady let them have TWO hand fulls! How generous!

The night ended with lots of candy being lugged home by tired kids - and I think that equates to success! :)

And to all a good night!

Can't wait...

So excited for tonight it is distracting.... can you tell?!

Grandma's house - a week in review

It has been quite a week at Gradndma's house - here are a few highlights!

Monday - noodles for lunch! Yum!

Tuesday - Sometimes you need to rest with a cool cloth over your head - life can be so traumatic when you are 3!!

Wednesday- Pizza for lunch! With a bunch of flowers picked with the next door neighbor Mrs. Pickens.

Baby C sleeping at nap time

& M and Baby Jessica (the doll) napping nicely as well!

Thursday - On rainy days, we get the rainy day bucket out!
It is full of all the Mc Donald's toys you could ever dream of!

Friday! And look! Little C can play too!

Thanks, Grandma, for another great week! We love you!

Dinner with my loves :)

I love nights where big C cooks :) He is wonderful in the kitchen and likes to surprise me with tasty meals after work - which is great, because I like to eat! This night M picked flowers and they graced the table where we all ate chili with a little cheese. YUM!

5 days to Halloween!

What could be more like Halloween than a black cat in a cemetery?
This is the black cat that thinks he rules over our complex and is, without contest, the master of the small cemetery that is in the very center of our apartments.

6 days to Halloween!

SPIDERS!!! C and all the kids decorated for Halloween last weekend - see the HUGE spider crawling down from the balcony? What fun!

The orange lights on the floor of the balcony look really cool when it is very dark. It just kindof glows :)

PS - M is NOT holding Little C, that is a babydoll named Baby Jessica.

Aunt Amanda!

It is good to be goofy!

Aunt Amanda came to Grandma's house on Friday and played with the girls in the backyard... this is the silliness that ensued:

I can't think of a better way to spend a day - can you?

Playin in the back yard!

The two little girls stay with Grandma while C & I work, and today they seem to have found a lovely patch of the back yard to enjoy the beautiful weather and have some fun!

I wish I could come play!!

Here is little C - all snuggled down in a soft picnic blanket <3

And M is a marvelous swinger! She learned from big sister, K, and big brother, B! :)

It is things like these that make life sweet! Thank you, Grandma, for sharing!!

Much love to all and ENJOY the beautiful weather today :) Love, KR

Family Reunion, Pt. 2

FAMILY REUNION FUN CONTINUED!!!

Sunday was a day of chilling around in the morning before checkout, eating an amazing 4 ft long strudel (not pictured because we ate it WAY too fast), playing in the park, and visiting Comal Springs!

Here is the game room at camp - K and B had lots of fun playing the games. K is shown here looking at the machine that C won most of the weekend's prizes from. In total he won 4 whoopee cushions (which were a HUGE hit - there is no law of diminishing returns on fart jokes), 2 bracelets, one key chain, and the 'coolest dad ever to win stuff from a prize machine' award. Also seen is the air hockey table where he beat me, and the pool table where he beat me again...

Here is the pool that the kiddos spent most of their time in:

Here is Paw Paw trying to wrangle one of the ducks in the river. Poor thing had a hook in his beak!

Later, we went to Landa Park and rode the train!

The kids had a great time :)

little C had a great time too - snoozed the whole way. :)

We visited the source of Comal Springs, too!

It is a dim picture, but here is M & Big C sitting by the spring listening to the water

Here is B - being silly and dancing on the bank of the spring

K spent her time picking up loose rocks and pitching them into the water.

Look how clear the water is!!

And that was the family reunion in a 2 part nutshell. It was a great time with a great family! Hopefully we can make it back again next year!

Family Reunion, Pt 1

This past weekend we were lucky enough to get to go to New Braunfuls, TX for C's family reunion. It was gorgeous weather for hanging out, tubing (or toobing as they call it...), and EATING. Which may be why I gained back ALL of the baby weight I have worked off over the last 3 weeks... but aside from that, it was an amazing weekend and I hope to have many more like it.

Here is the bunch we rode up with - Aunt Mandi, Rebekka, C, M, K, B, and Paw Paw! (Grammy was taking pictures with me)

Here is C with his mommy - I love me a Mommy's boy :)

Here we are trouping around the park looking at ducks, geese and a WATER RAT (no pictures of the water rat will be posted because they are CREEPY looking).

Here are C's parents - Paw Paw and Grammy - aren't they so cute?!

Here is K, hiding from the camera - silly girl!

B wanted to have one of the pizza lunchables - and he was so happy his face went funny! His dad's face does that too when there is food around... must run in the family :-P

Not to be outdone, M hams it up!

Here is little C with Aunt Donna - her new BFF. They got to stay together while we all went tubing on the river! Aunt Donna also crochet her booties in about 5 seconds flat - and what little girl doesn't love shoes on demand?

Here is a shot (stolen from Aunt Mandi) of the cabins we stayed in. Very simple, but quite spacious and great for staying right on the water on a budget!

Here is a shot of the river from the camp we stayed at (again, stolen from Aunt Mandi... as you can tell by her toes in the shot...) It was very peaceful and good for a little R&R. That is if you aren't running after children trying to make sure they don't jump in the river and drowned, or get snapped at by a duck that has had enough harassing, or decide to carry all the dirt, rocks and sticks at the camp inside via little pockets because pockets are JUST SO FUN.... Needless to say, I didn't get a nap.

Continue to Pt 2....
